Privacy Policy
Last updated October 2026
The Bookhouse Conservatory is a California nonprofit public benefit corporation in its founding stage. This site is deliberately simple, and so is this policy: it explains the little information we collect, why, and what we do with it.
What we collect
When you introduce yourself through the form on our homepage, we receive your name, your email address, how you see yourself relating to the Conservatory, and any message you choose to include. If you email us directly, we receive whatever your message contains. We do not collect payment information — we are not currently soliciting or accepting donations.
How we use it
We use what you send us to reply to you, to keep you informed about the Conservatory’s founding if you have asked us to, and to understand who is interested in the institution we are building. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Services that help us run this site
This site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes standard technical data (such as IP addresses) to deliver pages securely. Our typefaces are served by Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when a page loads. Form submissions and our email are stored in our Google Workspace account, which is accessible only to the Conservatory.
Cookies and analytics
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics that build profiles of visitors. If we add privacy-respecting, aggregate visit counts in the future, we will say so here.
Your choices
You may ask us at any time to see, correct, or delete the information you have shared with us, or to stop contacting you. Write to us and we will do so promptly.
Changes to this policy
As the Conservatory grows, this policy will too. When it changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
